Myriam Márquez

has been appointed interim executive director of the News Leaders Association. In the past, Márquez has served as executive editor of El Nuevo Herald, editorial board editor of the Miami Herald, enterprise editor of the Orlando Sentinel, as well as a metro editor, columnist, and news reporter. Most recently, she was the senior adviser and communications director for the office of the mayor in Miami-dade County overseeing the PIOS in 24 departments and helping reporters get the information they need to inform the public.
