Pete Diana, who photographed three of the Steelers’ six Super Bowl victories and three of the Penguins’ five Stanley Cup victories for the Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post-gazette, passed away Oct. 20 in Presbyterian Hospital. He was 64.

Former North Carolina state Sen. Stan Bingham, a businessman and newspaper publisher whose anecdotes and goodnaturedness endeared him to colleagues from both parties, died Oct. 27, at age 76. In 1995, Bingham founded The Denton Orator, a weekly newspaper that now has thousands of subscribers.
